It will be that time of year again sooner than you think. For 2011 the organissing committee would like to see many of the previous campers at previous icicle meetings, to do it a second time.....too many of you just do it once, now come on!!

To encourage you, Leicester has 3 hard runways, so you'll always get something into wind, grass strips as well. Fuel, camping by your aircraft, resturant for sunday morning breakfast,as well as the famous Leicester curry on the saturday night. Full bar and good facilities in the clubhouse and access to warm toliets during the night... Reduced landing fee still TBA, either free or £5 for those who camp.
Saturday night aviation and general knowledge quiiz with medals and prizes (furthest travelled, best aircraft, most noteworthy story, best newcomer, biggest idiot, etc)

Open to all BMAA, LAA and light sport aircraft, in fact gyros, GA or anything that flies as long as you have the right attitude to mix in, make new friends, see old friends and have a laugh.

Look at youtube and search icicle flyin to see previous videos, or the BMAA forum for photos of last year at Wolverhampton.

Please this year, no landing during the hours of darkness! This is the 5th Year for the Icicle, Dunkswell, Shobdon, Sywell, wolverhapton and now Leicester. Last year 20 + aircraft camped overnight with about 30 crew. An equal number flew in, but lost their nerve to stay - they were just not hard enough, maybe they will stay this year. Camping only, no B&B

As always, if this weekend is not suitable, too warm, wet, bad vis etc, it will roll on to subsequent weekends until we get the right weekend. This website listing will be updated as we get closer
